Lilly's 1st time out skiing

Hayden is getting faster!

Caleb's Trick

We have a Santa that sits on our stair rail and every time Caleb comes downstairs, he points and says "ho ho" What a smart little guy!! It's fun to teach him tricks!! :)

Christmas 2011

We had a fun Christmas this year with 3 little ones!! They always make life exciting and it was so fun watching them open their presents and all the excitement that goes along with Christmas! I wish I would have gotten more pictures of the family that was visiting (Mark's family), but here is what I do have!!
Here is Lilly practicing her skiing skills with Mark, getting ready for her 1st big day of skiing (see below).

Christmas eve - the traditional unwrapping of matching pj's!!
Posing for the camera in the matching pj's. I think I took at least 5 pictures but never got them all looking at once!

Excited to put out milk and cookies for Santa!!

Excited and waiting at the bottom of the stairs on Christmas morning. They actually slept in until 7!!

Caleb ran right to his present made by Mark! He is always trying to sit in things, so this little rocking chair is made especially for his size! He loves getting into it and rocks away!

hmmm....what is in this stocking??

Lots of fun stocking stuffers!

Best toy of the year - Rapunzel (at least we got the biggest reaction!) Lilly was so excited when she opened this. Can you tell??

Not quite ready for skiing yet, but likes to pretend that he is!!

Hayden got a Leapster and is getting pretty good at understanding the games.

Luckily Uncle Ryan was there for the annual present of Legos!! Over 250 pieces and Hayden was pretty good at following all the instructions by himself.

Carving the ham for Christmas dinner - don't mess up Mark!

Even Lilly likes sitting in Caleb's rocking chair, although the 1st time, Caleb was a little possessive and came over and pulled Lilly's hair....I think he needs to start learning how to "share"!!!

Our little helpers. Now each child has a shovel just their size, perfect for helping to shovel! Even Caleb figured out what to do with it!

On Tuesday, Lilly got to go on her 1st skiing excursion with Hayden, Mark, Grandma and Grandpa. They said she did great!! Way to go Lilly!!

Ski Day

Ski Day

A Special Day for a 5 Year Old!

Today was Hayden's big #5 birthday! It was a special day. Mark took the day off and took him skiing. He had a great time and was proud to tell us that he went down the WHOLE bunny hill without dad holding onto him by the end of the day!

Skiers home from a long day!
We had Papa over for an early Christmas and Birthday celebration

Papa opened his presents with the kids. They were happy to help!

Caleb was introduced to the golf glove "claw"!

Hayden had opened all his presents at his birthday party, so tonight we opened a special present from Grandma and Papa great. Hayden's proud to be five!

Birthday dessert with candle

Happy Birthday Hayden!! You are a smart and good boy and we love you very much!!

More Christmas/December Happenings

Just thought I would share more of what has been happening this month! It's been a busy one! A couple of weeks ago, Mark got off of work early and we spent a night out on the town with the kids! First stop: The carousel. Hayden and Lilly are now big/brave enough to ride by themselves, and Caleb didn't mind going either!

Next stop: Sitting on Santa's lap. Hayden asked for a Leapster. Lilly wants a big and small Rapunzel doll (she'll just be getting a big one so hopefully she doesn't remember asking for a small one!!) And Caleb asked for a sled that has a seat belt built in....now if we could just get some snow!Next stop: The Davenport to see all the trees. We put our names in the raffle to win some good prizes, but never got called....maybe next year! Final stop: Red Robin. We didn't get any pictures, but it was a fun ending to the night! This last week has been spent getting ready for Hayden's 5th birthday party - transformers theme, picked by Hayden. He wrote his name on the invitations this year...very serious business! We also took time out to go and watch Hayden and Lilly in their preschool Christmas program. They both did a great job, other than the boy in front of Lilly picking his nose, taking his arm out of his sleeve and hitting her with it and then pulling her hair. We were proud that she didn't slug him, although I wanted too!! Caleb kept busy before the show on dad's phone. We all went out to dinner with Papa at the Old Spaghetti Factory. It was a fun and memorable night!Last Saturday, we celebrated Hayden's 5th birthday with his Transformer's party. I wish I was a better cake decorator (as there were several cool cakes on the internet that I could have made) but I went for transformers toys as cake toppers, which Hayden was happy with! The Optimus Prime gang ready for the fun to begin! One of the games we played was transformer musical chairs. The kids did a great job walking like robots! We also decorated "transformer" pizzasAnd played Bumblebee vs. Optimus Prime where the kids were supposed to pop each other's balloons. Unfortunately the balloons wouldn't pop, so the evil decepticon, Mark went around popping the balloons with scissors (Hayden wasn't too happy about that)Hayden opened a lot of fun presents (thanks for thinking of him everyone!!)Proud to have gotten "Batman and Robin" from Robin!!Caleb even got into being a transformer too!Hayden loved his new Bumblebee costume!! (His favorite transformer)Bumblebee ready to have cake wit his cousinsThe birthday crew. Happy to have Robin and Jake, and Trevor and Ashlyn there this year! After the fun birthday activities, we headed down the street the next day for a fun cookie exchange party. The kids liked decorating gingerbread men and then eating them!Santa even made an appearance and gave each of the kids a fun Christmas book
