Ready for Easter

Just thought I would share some pictures of dying Easter eggs. The kids loved doing it this year! Mark drew in white crayon on some without showing the kids. Hayden was REALLY surprised when he took an egg out of the dye and it looked like a football! :)

hmmmm...Interesting!

The finished product

Pretty proud!

Here is our wild man knight! He loves to pretend to be a night and has figured out how to get all his axes and swords by tucking them into various clothing!

Just posing for Daddy!

Happy 31st Mark!

Mark had a couple of celebrations this week for his birthday. On Thursday we had a fun dinner with chocolate cream pie to finish it off. Hayden was really excited to put in the candles.
Lilly liked watching too :)
Action shot of blowing out the candles

We went to Richland this weekend to visit Mark's parents. The kids had a great time! Grandpa went to umpire a softball game so Hayden thought it would be fun to dress as twins.

Just Lilly and her regular Cheese face

Helping grandma to make breakfast. We got to have an early St. Patrick's Day feast with green eggs and ham and kiwi smoothies!! YUMMM!! You can kind of see Lilly peaking out behind Hayden. She likes being a "helper" too!

Pretending to be a motorcycle man in Grandpa's helmet

Celebrating the real day with some apple pie!!

Unfortunately we ended the weekend with Mark and Lilly having a stomach bug (AND piper) and Hayden having a cold/asthma, but a least it wasn't until after all the fun celebration.

Good bye little Rav

HELLO Minivan!!!! Yes, that's right...we are now a minivan owning family! Mark has been looking online for a few months for a minivan (which in itself is funny since he vowed that he would never own a minivan when we got married!!) He kept telling me about different vans he was looking at and I would get excited and then we would end up not getting it.....so I told him not to tell me until he was ready to buy!!! I guess he took me seriously because while I was working on Saturday, he took the kids the the Toyota dealership and took this minivan for a test drive. I guess the kids liked it because he did all the negotiating with the salesman in the kids play area (I imagine them sitting in little chairs and table :)) SO, now it's official. I'm a minivan mom!! I'm really excited and love the new car smell! Lots of space and fun pushing a button to open the doors!! Lilly and Hayden think it's pretty neat too! I guess we are ready for #3!

Our February/March Highlights

I was just downloading some pictures from the last couple of weeks and thought I would blog our happenings.
Lilly's getting better and better at going potty. I just need to get a little more motivated to put her on more often. But she loves to copy her brother and tries to go everytime he does.

During the last few weeks Hayden and Lilly have really started playing together. It's fun to see how they communicate and pretend together. Here is Hayden doctoring Lilly. She loved letting him inspect her!

Also thought I would add some pictures from my nephew Jake's fun b-day party.
Pretending to be scary lions! ARRRR!!!! Lilly's looking to see if the stuffed lion is roaring :)Having fun in Jake's new wagon
Ready to dig in! MMMMM!!!!

Ready for cake and ice cream!

That was good!

Following the tiger's tail to the prizes

Found the prizes at the end of the tail

HMM, this looks good!

One night, Hayden decided to draw a spider. We thought this was a pretty good interpretation, considering we had never drawn a spider for him before!

The kids got some free headbands from a friend. Here is their interpretation on how you wear them!
