Rough-Housing with Papa

It's always fun when Papa comes!

Overall Pockets

I love when Caleb wears his overalls because he walks around with his hands in the "bib" like they are pockets

Mark's Latest Creation

Here is one of the projects that Mark is donating to the Guild School Auction this year. Our friend's mom is painting them, so we'll have to get a "final" picture at the auction in March!!

Potty Training??

The other night, Mark decided that it was time to start "training" Caleb on the potty! So he brought up the little chair from the basement and put him on. No success, but he sure thought it was fun, and Lilly was great at "teaching" him. Can you tell she's proud too!?? I guess he's a big boy now....he's also been weaned of the bottle and binki this month!! He has to grow up fast since the next one's coming in just 2 months!!!

Projects

For Christmas, Hayden and Lilly got some airplane and a birdhouse kits in their stocking that came with the wood, paint and glue. They had fun one day with Mark while I was at work painting and putting together their models. They turned out great!

Weekend at Schweitzer

We had a great "weekend getaway" last weekend. Our friend had bought a ski package at an auction last year, and Mark was lucky enough to get to use it. They headed up the mountain early Saturday morning and got to go in the "back country" where no one else skis and then had a "cat" bring them back up the mountain to do it again. They had a great time (better than any other skiing they have ever done) and each run was different. Too bad Schweitzer hadn't really gotten any new snow in quite some time...and then the day after we left, it's been snowing ever since. Mark said Schweitzer was expected to get up to 4 FEET of snow this week!! Too bad we didn't wait one more week!!

We rented a condo with our friends for the weekend. The kids had a great time playing games, sleeping in the loft, and playing outside in the snow.

Playing basketball with Grant's "homemade basket" and Caleb was excited to get the SCORE!!!

Fun in the snow

Writing names in the snow

Climbing the mountain and making our own make-shift sledding hill (without sleds)

Coming inside to warm up with some hot chocolate

Taking a walk down to the village

Watching the skiers from inside (Caleb was so warm and comfortable that he fell asleep soon after this!)

On Sunday, Mark took Hayden and Lilly skiing for a few hours.

On the ride home, we stopped by a Burger King. Caleb loved the crown, and although we put in on the "right" way several times, he liked to turn it upside down. Hayden thought it looked like a knight helmet!! :)
