Introducing Emily Gaye Moore

This week, my new little niece was born - Emily Gaye Moore, January 21st, weighing 7lbs 7oz.  Her middle name is after my mom's middle name.  We are all so excited that she was finally here, especially after a week of crazy labor for Jamie, my sister-in-law and the fact that they live here now, which made it even more fun!  We got to watch Aspen, who was very excited for a new baby brother or sister.  Here she is in the elevator soooo excited to go and meet her.

 Happy to see mommy
 And daddy
 Look at all that hair!!
 1st bath
Checking out the world with one eye, hanging out under the heat lamp after her bath
New best friends.  I think Aspen is going to be a great big sister!

Brian getting a taste of what it will be like living in a household of all girls....feeding them pudding!
 Sweet Emily
 Family!
Congratulations Brian and Jamie.  She is so cute and we can't wait to watch her grow!!

Christmas was how long ago??

I can't believe it's already the middle of January!

We had a fun Christmas this year.  We spent it away from our house for the 1st time in 6 years and headed down to Grandma and Grandpa.  It was a fun trip to make new Christmas memories.

On Christmas Eve, we headed to Ritzville to the farm to visit with the Templin cousins.

 The Big boy's entertainment
Attempting to get a picture of the cousins
 Reading with Grandma Great
 Celebrating 2 December birthdays....8 and 95!
Then, on down to Richland for Christmas Eve service and opening of our annual Christmas PJs.
Marking sure to leave cookies for Santa
Excited boys on Christmas morning...up by 5:30!!
 Ready to start opening!

 Are you awake yet, Grace!?
 Is Hayden in the box??
Excited for her new Fur Real puppy
New dolls, a sleeping bag for them, and a new sleeping bag for Grace.  She's set for camping this summer.
Calico Critters from Grandma...luckily, since Lilly had asked Santa for them.
Most of our days were spent playing with Legos!!

 And napping :)
Hayden got a new bow and arrow to practice his scouting skills
Fun night roasting marshmallows in the cold
Grace loves her new Rapunzel doll from Emma!
Then, back home for New years with the "Spokane" Moores :)  All made it to midnight, except Grace.
Can't tell, since the flash went off, but these were glow in the dark balloons, and pretty fun to play with
Is that a baby or balloon in there, Jamie ??
AND, it finally snowed in Spokane, so we had some fun in the snow as well
We went to the elementary to sled and had a good time!

Now, we're back to school and back to the routine!  Happy 2015!!

Celebration Weekend

This past weekend we celebrated Hayden's 8th birthday with friends and family.  I still can't believe I have an 8 year old already, and then to think that Grace is almost 3...time flies way too fast!

We love having Aspen living here now.  These 2 are going to be best buds!  Can you tell??

Hayden invited over the cousins and a couple of friends from school for his 1st sleep over!  This is what it looked like when we weren't playing games.  WILD :)
To keep them entertained, we played Christmas themed minute-to-win-it games.  This one was "blizzard winds"...blowing a cup with a straw.
"Snow ball nose dive" - carrying cotton balls from chair to chair stuck on by Vaseline
Grace loved watching every minute of what the big kids were doing, and even tried a few times.
"Christmas nutstacker" - stacking nuts with a candy cane...the "Lego" boys were the best at this game
"Cookie face" - putting a cookie on the forehead and moving it to your mouth without using hands.
 "snowball toss"
 "fishing for candy canes"
 "building a snow man"

Payton and Robin won the best snowman

 "snowball fight"
"shaving Santa's beard" - the kids had shaving cream on their faces and their partner had to "shave" them.
The birthday crew - Look closely...Hayden was so excited that EVERY present was Lego's!!  He put them all together this weekend!

 Ice cream sundae bar
 Happy Birthday 8 year old!!
Morning after the sleepover - they claim that they were up ALL NIGHT, but it was pretty quiet from about midnight until 5:30!

THEN, grandma and grandpa came for some more celebrating.  Grandma knitted the boys these cute sweaters.  Hayden picked out the colors and they turned out very nice!
More present opening....lucky guy!  He is working toward earning enough money to buy a Lego AT-AT walker...getting closer!
Then, we all headed to Shogun for dinner.  It was great to watch the kids faces when the dinner was being cooked right in front of them.  They thought it was great!
Although, not so sure Grace thought the fire was so great
 Samurai Hayden
And then, home for S'mores...2nd annual tradition with homemade marshmallows
 YUM!!

THEN, Sunday Hanukkah celebration with Auntie Jamie, Uncle Brian and Aspen!  This Challah bread was amazing!! (way to braid, Brian!)
Brian's secret recipe of Latkes were also very tasty!
Kid table (minus Lilly) - she got to head to Grandma's house for a few days by herself.
Auntie Jamie teaching the Dradel game to the kids.
Lighting the Menorah.   Aspen even knew the Hebrew prayer.  It was a fun night!!
Now, on to Christmas!!!!
