Birthday, Weekend, and 6 weeks!

Just another update from our family!!  We had a fun week and weekend.  Last week was my birthday.  Mark surprised me with getting a baby sitter and we went out to dinner with 2 of our good friends.  It was nice not planning dinner and just getting spoiled for the day.  Our 13 year old baby sitter was relieved to hear that we were taking Grace with us, as Mark had not told her that.  We were getting ready to go and Grace was asleep in the swing.  I was thinking we would get her out right before leaving, but in her mind, we were about ready to leave and weren't taking her.  She nervously asked if she was taking care of all FOUR and breathed a sigh of relief when we told her we would take Grace!  I don't know what I would have done as a 13 year old, taking care of 4 kids, including a new born!

Hayden had won the coloring contest at Papa Murphy's from St. Patrick's Day, so the kids got a free pizza while we were gone.  He was pretty proud of that!!

Mark treated me with my favorite cake (carrot cake from Just American Desserts)
Dinner with friends.  (Grace stayed asleep the whole time)
We came back home to open presents with the kid's help and eat cake
The best birthday gift - family

I just love this smile - he's a pretty good poser for the camera!!
Grace just keeps changing (although still looking small on Mark's lap!)
 More alert and getting bigger!
Auntie Colleen and Uncle Ryan came to visit this weekend and meet Grace.  Uncle Ryan had the touch with Grace and was able to calm her and keep her calm for quite a while!!
He was also very entertaining for the older kids!!
On Saturday, we went on a hike at the Bowl and Pitcher and saw the racing Spokane River.
If you look close, there are 6 of us!
Lilly had fun picking flowers along the way.  Lots of Arrowleafs in bloom, reminding me of Momo.
 Crossing the long bridge.
Keeping close to Auntie Colleen.  Lilly was happy to hold her hand the whole time!
 Handsome boy

This sweet baby stayed nice and warm against me

Hayden was excited to see "Bumblebee" from Transformers in the parking lot when we got back
Lilly was certain this was Optimus Prime!!!!
Our sweet girl is 6 weeks old today!  Here is her 1st "half" smile captured on camera!

 Her favorite spot to sleep!!
