Ready for Kindergarten

Hayden started Kindergarten today, and did GREAT!!  I remember thinking just a few years ago, how far off it seemed and now it's here!  We went last week and toured his classroom, met his teacher and got his 1st HOMEWORK assignment!  He had to cut out a person and decorate it to look like him.  We went through my scrap fabric, and he picked all the colors and the colored and glued everything on.

He even chose to print out "Super Mario Brothers" to put on the shirt since that is one of his favorite things right now.  Even though he doesn't play the game much, he could spend hours looking at the instructions booklet!  My favorite is his interpretation of his nose!
Last night, Hayden chose Dairy Queen as his dinner of choice.  We went with Grandma and Grandpa before they headed home and also met Papa there.

1st day of school pose...does he look excited??
Wanted to show off his back pack
More excited waiting for the school bus!
 Waving good-bye
He won't get lost with that back pack!!
I went to school to make sure he knew where to go once getting off the bus.  He went right in, hung up his coat/bag and found his spot at the table.  He was ready for his big day!!  A big difference from the boy I knew 2 years ago who cried every time I left for about 2 months!
Getting home from school.  He was the only kindergartner who rode the bus, so at noon, he was the only one on the bus when he came home!!  He thought it was neat though!
