Catching Up!

It's been a busy fall with the kids being back in school. Although 2 are gone until 3:30 everyday, it still feels like the day flies by and I still don't get much done.  The kids are loving school though and just in a month, have already learned so much!  Lilly can write her first AND last name without looking and loves drawing and coloring and cutting now, which is a huge step for her.  Hayden is reading a lot quicker now, doesn't have to sound out every word, loves cub scouts, and has already earned a few badges.  Caleb is a big 3 year old, which he can show you on his fingers.  He loves getting more attention now that the older 2 are gone to school, is learning his letters and now points them out everywhere he goes.  Grace loves following Caleb around, body slamming us while we are all settling down at night attempting to read books, can now figure out how to climb up onto the kitchen table and counter top and is saying more and more each day.

Here are some pictures from the past few weeks:

Caleb's Dino 3rd B-day

Hunting for the hidden dino
 Building a volcano with play-doh
 Oooh!!
 Hatching dinos from eggs
 Digging for dinos

 They could be sisters!
 Happy 3rd b-day Caleb

I love Lilly's intense look willing Caleb  to blow out the candles
A couple of weekends ago, we had our annual apple sauce making weekend and headed up to pick apples
 Our big helper
 YUM!

We got 8 FULL boxes of apples!!!  We had our work cut out for us.
There were plenty of apples to pick!  I was really bad about taking pictures this weekend.  Colleen and Ryan were there to make apple sauce with us.  It was a great time, and as usual, Auntie Colleen and Uncle Ryan were fun for hours of entertainment for the kids!!
Last weekend, Hayden had a cub scout day camp that he went to with Mark.  He loved it and got to do a lot of different things.  Here he is disc golfing.
 Betting a WOLF!
Learning about bears and bear safety
 Archery
He said he also went fishing and learned how to shoot a bb gun.  It was a busy day for him though (and Mark).  They left at 7:30, then went straight to his soccer game at 4:00 and then packed up for the football game and headed down to Pullman with Lilly and Hayden to watch the game and got home at 1 a.m!!  He said it was a great day though (even if the cougs did coug it!)
