Mini Camp Cousins - Day 2

Update from yesterday: after Robin's preschool, the kids got to eat their popcorn and watch "Gnomio and Juliet" from Amy and Joel. As you can see, they were too enthralled in the movie to even notice I was taking a picture...guess it must have been good!

Getting to open night #2's present

Fun Halloween window clings

Glow Explosion coloring (one picture for each of the kids to color) - they can't wait....they'll get to color them after naps today.

AND a fun Halloween tablecloth. Thanks Amy and Joel!!

Caleb enjoyed getting in the Halloween spirit by putting on the glasses from Aunt Susie from last year.

Camp Cousins (for the mini ones) - Day 1

Yesterday was our first day together at "camp cousins". Amy and Joel dropped off the kids yesterday afternoon while Joel gets his 1 year check ups in Seattle this week. I think it is going to be a fun week!! I thought I would give Amy and Joel and update on how/what we have been doing. Yesterday, they played out in the sandbox and ran around the yard.
Robin wanted to show me how she poses in her lounge chair....beautiful!
We then walked to the little park in our neighborhood and played for a while. This is the best shot we could get of 5 kids at once!

Learning to pose
Robin is teaching me a lot about how she poses beautifully for pictures :)
Bath time (a little squished) was fun
Mac n' cheese dinner
Amy has given us a present to open every day. The kids cleaned up the downstairs and upstairs and were able to open their present last night ("gnomio and juliet") and microwave popcorn...YUM! Jake couldn't wait to eat the popcorn. Thanks Amy and Joel!

Robin and Jake slept well last night. Only one time getting up last night (around midnight). I woke up to see Robin sleeping next to my side of the bed on the floor and Jake sleeping at the top of the stairs! After moving them back, they were good the rest of the night and then Robin up at 5am asking to go poop (luckily she went to Mark's side of the bed :) ) and then they slept until 6:15! Pretty good for a 1st night. Now, onto preschool!

Catching Up

Just thought I would share some of the photos from the end of our summer. I posted backwards though....whoops!

Last day before school...the ice cream man came (before dinner) YUM!!

Ready for the 1st day of preschool. Hayden is in the 4 year old class and Lilly is in the 3 year old class.

Showing off their backpacks.

Lilly and her teacher Mrs. Getman. Lilly was actually really happy and excited, although it doesn't look like it in this picture

Hayden and his teacher Mrs. Stephens

At the end of the summer, we went on a week long trip down to Eugene and then back up to the cabin. We took 2 days to get there. Here is our 1st night of camping along the Columbia River. 1st attempt at tent camping with kids rather than the tent trailer. Other than the train that went by every hour, waking up Mark and I, the kids did great and slept great.

Eating hot dogs the 1st night

Helping dad set up the tent

Excited to be in the tent

Helping Auntie Kim crush oreos for the ice cream pie....mmmmm

1/2 way through our excursion to the ocean we stopped at a small cafe with GLORIOUS sweet rolls, thanks to Randy

At the ocean (Florence) we ate at Mo's.

Very windy day at the ocean, but still fun...even after seeing a SHARK!

This is about as close as we got to the water

We went swimming at the Saisslin's church camp, Camp Harlow. It was a great day!
