Again, time is flying by and it's already the middle of July!! We have had a great summer so far, and haven't even really traveled too far from town!
We started out with our annual VBS (this year was Weird Animals theme). Anna and Ryan were both able to come and help out. They were great help (until they both came down with strep) :( We were sad to see Ryan go, but Anna lasted strong the whole week until the last night. Sorry Anna! The kids loved having you both here though and wished you just lived with us!! Can you tell??!!
Our VBS stage. I didn't get a good picture, but there was a "weird" 8' lizard that popped up and waved his arms right behind the plants. The kids thought it was great!
1st night of fun with cousins
Home made cookies and cream ice cream
Enjoying the new Jeep!! (Yes, we/Mark bought an old 70's Jeep) Now I have to learn how to drive a stick!
Last night of VBS. The only time it's rained this summer was that day (huge downpour) when we had planned our family BBQ, but we still had fun with games and face painting inside.
Cousin twinsies! Lilly was so excited to have Anna do her hair every day she was here (notice the photo bomber) :)
We had a fun 4th this year too. We didn't end up going to the Cabin on the west side, but spent the day with some friends at a cabin on Loon lake. It was a warm sunny day for fun on the boat!
And on the beach
Our friend's mom made some great fire cracker cupcakes for the kids! They were truly patriotic after eating them!!
This picture just made me laugh. Grace dragged this chair over to the rail and relaxed with her feet up for a while. Do you think she has seen this before?!
On the 5th, we headed to Ritzville to visit extended family. I love this picture of Caleb and Grandma Great. We are always happy to spend time with her.
Getting to play with Hillary and Jared's new twin boys they adopted! They were great babies with all the chaos around them!
The complete Miller Grands and Great Grand kids
We also had fun swimming in the pool
Super Caleb
Once Grace decided to get in the pool, there was no stopping her. She jumped over and over and over again! No fear!
Look at that form!
Tired out from all that jumping!
Some other fun things: Our annual strawberry picking
Cherry picking
Playing on the Liberty Lake beach with friends
Our robin came back and built a next in the same spot again this year, and we got to watch the entire process from the building of the nest, laying of eggs, hatching and baby birds growing!
This is how Mark would show the kids the nest....safe??!!
Grace has also figured out how to open doors this summer...so, rather than sleeping in her bed, this is where she chooses to sleep. We finally got the bright idea of putting the gate up at her door, so now if she opens it, she has no other choice, but to get back into bed! Otherwise, she loves to sneak into Lilly and Caleb's room and wake them up!
Happy Summer! Now, let the traveling begin!
