The "busy" part of the summer has been Vacation Bible School. I took on the role of coordinator this year. It was a lot of preparation and Hayden and Lilly followed me to church everyday as my "helpers". When we didn't go to church, they wondered why! Last week was THE week of VBS. It was a "High Seas Expedition"! We had over 100 kids register. It was a fun week. Hayden got to be in the preschool class and loved it. The last session was an evening session with the parents. We had dinner/games/singing/crafts. It was a great ending to a CRAZY week!

Then we went inside for the closing program. Hayden and Lilly loved following the hand motions to the songs.

Today, Mark took the kids to the air show while I worked. It was a HOT day, but the kids had a great time (although you can't tell from this picture)! They were wiped out. When I got home, they were still sleeping at 6:30 and didn't want to wake up for dinner!

Hayden really loved the helicopter and was so excited to get to go in!

Now that VBS is over, we can just focus on summer....and having a baby in 2 months!!! I'm ready to relax next week!!

This summer has definitely not been lazy or hazy! Looks like VBS was a great success. Liked seeing Hayden and Lilly in their sailor hats and floating their boats. Also enjoyed the photo of Captain Wags, leading her navy. Especially loved seeing the captain's big belly! : ) xoxo
