Baby Wags #3

Today we went in for our ultrasound. We looked away when the tech was looking in the "private" areas. We want another surprise. But if you want to follow old wives tales, the heart rate was 161 (indicating a girl), so we'll see!! I still really have no ideas. We are just excited. I haven't felt this baby as much as I did with Hayden and Lilly, but actually in the ultrasound, it was more active than Hayden and Lilly were, which was good to see. We got to see the little arms and legs moving and the mouth moving. Hayden was excited to see the pictures and when he saw the profile, he laughed and said it looked like a chicken! He may be surprised when it comes out! He likes to measure my belly with my measuring tape, kiss it and blow raspberries on the baby. I think he'll be a good big brother.
Here is the little arm and fingers

The ultrasound tech said the baby is about 12 oz right now.

Turning 30

I've been meaning to blog these pictures for a while and am finally getting around to it. I turned 30!! It was a whole weekend celebration! We started on Thursday after work when Mark's parents took us out to Outback for dinner. YUM!! I brought my camera, but only remembered that I had it as we were leaving :( Then it was home to open up their present and have yummy Dairy Queen Blizzards. On Friday, we woke up. Mark had told me to not plan anything for that day, but it was all a surprise. My first clue was that he didn't wake up to go to work! Then he said to pack an overnight bag. We got into the car, stopped and got a papa Murphy's pizza and headed East. I kept guessing, but was never right. Finally we got to Kellogg, ID and arrived at the Morning Star Lodge. Mark had rented a condo, which included tickets to the indoor water park for the weekend. A couple of our friends came on Friday, and then my parents came on Saturday. It was a great 30th b-day weekend!!

Here we are just arriving at the condo. Hayden was excited about all the "surprises" too!

Getting comfy in the condo
The 1st thing Hayden did was get out his sleeping bag. Lilly didn't have one so she got her beach towel and pretended just like Hayden.

Found the perfect spot on the table

Getting ready for the water park. We even went down the "big" slides together....however a little too terrifying for the kids.

There was a wave/surfing machine that Mark went on. The kids liked taking a break and watching.

Having a snack

Getting ready to go down the slide
The squirting water area was their favorite!

We were walking to breakfast on Saturday morning and to my surprise, my parent showed up! We all enjoyed a good breakfast together!

This is just a little extra surprise. The next week after getting home, Mark found these in our sprinkler box. Very cute, but not so happy to have mice! The parents were "enjoyed" by Piper. He didn't actually eat them, but loved playing with them!! I let mark take care of the babies ;(

Fun at Momo's

Today was a fun day at momo's house. We met up with the White's and Momo entertained with muffins, fruit and juice, camp cousins fort, and picking daffodils. It was fun to get togther and see momo. Hopefully we didn't tire her out too much! I know Lilly was pooped! Both she and Hayden fell asleep in the car (noon) about 2 minutes after leaving. Hayden woke up when we got home, but Lilly is still sleeping! I think she might be hungry when she wakes up!!

Here is momo handing out the shovels and rakes to go and play in the fort. Even Maggie was excited!

Swinging with Robin

Shoveling and raking sand

Pirate of the ship (or as Robin said, Prince Eric from Little Mermaid)....who do you think Robin was??

Jake having fun on the swing

Going down the slide

Sharing flowers with momo

Getting ready to pick daffodils

We had a lot to choose from!!

Laying out the daffodils on each wet paper towel.

Thanks for a fun day, momo....the weather was perfect!!

Getting ready for a big girl room

We have been getting the guest room ready for Lilly to move into a big girl bed in a few months. Last weekend we got the room painted. It bright, but I think it will be GREAT for a little girl. While we are in Hawaii, our friend's mom is going to come and paint a mural to go with the quilt that Judy is making for Lilly. She must be a spoiled little girl....or as she says "princess". Here are the kids helping to paint....just sitting on the paint cans reading their books.

Taking down the tape

Judy brought the blocks for Lilly's quilt to see how it looked in the new room. We layed some of them out with the borders. We love it!!!

Easter Weekend Festivities

It was a fun weekend. The kids were excited to get the party started and Hayden asked everyday if it was time to see his cousins. Friday was a cold and rainy day, so we didn't do much and the kids were pretty bored by the time Mark got home from work. Luckily, Mark had some creativity and made a fun cardboard house for the kids. They spent hours coloring and decorating it. It was a fun day after all!

On Saturday the kids got to go over the Auntie Amy's while the men went to the movies. Hayden and Lilly had a great time with Anna and Ryan. Here is Ryan showing Hayden his puzzle book that they got him. He loves it!!
Beautiful princess Robin...and Hayden? I think Anna enjoyed helping them dress up! AND so did Hayden!
Easter morning.....didn't want to let Uncle Brian and Auntie Jamie miss out on the festivities, so Hayden (and Piper) woke them up bright and early!
Checking out the jelly bean trail. The kids weren't quite sure at first what to think about the jelly bean trail. Hayden came out of his room that morning wondering why there were jelly beans all over the floor.

It didn't take long for Lilly to fill her cheeks as she cleaned up the trail.

The trail led to some fun Easter baskets.

Hayden was excited about his new swim goggles.......not to go swimming, but to pretend that he was a super hero! He has a cape on too, that you can't see.
Easter poses

The kids got a quick rest on the way over to momo's house. Hayden wanted to dress as a super hero in the car too. By the time we got to momo's the goggles were fogged and steamy. At least he had a good rest!

Having fun!

Momo reading the Easter story to the grand kids. I liked how Hayden was so intent.

Grand kids and momo and papa

2 bald heads. Quite handsome and beautiful! Mom had some fun hats that she modeled for us, but still looks beautiful without!

Enjoying the Easter egg hunt. The Easter bunny did a GREAT job hiding the eggs all over the yard. We even got a few more as we were leaving!

Jake having fun on the Easter egg hunt

Hayden got the hang of finding eggs and did a great job! I think he collected the most eggs!!

Kids table for Easter brunch

After a busy afternoon, Lilly was pretty tuckered out. She got to lay in momo and papa's bed for a nap and looked like the princess!

Enjoying some chocolate lamb cake to finish off a fun day!!
Thanks for having us over momo and papa! We had a GREAT time!!
